The guy at Wendy’s taking our order
Yesterday on our way to an appointment we stopped at Wendy’s to grab a quick lunch. The man behind the counter was a middle aged man, I believe his name was Randy. He had a huge smile and was having fun with his job. He had a warm look in his eyes and he had patience.
We observed him with the two women in front of us, both in there 20’s one with special needs, and the other one would be her care giver. The first young lady was excited to be giving her order and to be paying for it herself. She ordered sandwich, fries, and a drink and it came to around $6 dollars, she opened her envelope and she only had $5. So they decided to take the fry off, Randy called his manager over for an adjustment so that she could properly pay, he gave her change back, and I heard her ask for a receipt. She didn’t care, she was happy to be doing this herself. Randy had the patience to make certain her experience was just as important as the 10 people in line behind her.
As the order was coming up, Randy made sure her fries were on her tray. This brought a huge smile to my face as I could see he truly cared.
After we finished eating and the lunch rush line was over, before we left my husband made sure he went up to Randy and thanked him for how he handled her and all of the customers that day. It’s not often we can say we get good service in a fast food restaurant anymore, but yesterday we did. You can bet I will come back to this Wendy’s again, just to see this man, and his smile. He chose to BE AWESOME!
